Painting Party at the Barn
Jason J. Anhorn has been working as a professional freelance artist since 1996, specializing in fine art and illustration. He studied art at Minneapolis College of Art and Design, UW-Stout, and UWEC. He has drawn caricatures at events for 25 years, creating funny yet flattering portrayals of people. He instructs painting parties and paints portraits, murals, and original art. He has won many awards for his artwork and he strives to keep improving upon his successes. He moved to Eau Claire from Uptown Minneapolis in 2005. He has traveled the United States drawing people at events and competing at snow sculpting events including an event his team won in northern Italy in 2008. His snow sculpting team won the national snow sculpting championship in 2013, 2014, and 2015 in Lake Geneva, WI. He has painted murals as far away as Brooklyn, New York, and drawn caricatures in Miami, New York, L.A., and more. He is dedicated to creating original artwork and inspiring people to create their own art. He also loves adventure and has scuba dived in Key Largo, snowboarded in Italy, visited the windiest place on earth at the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, drew on top of the World Trade Center, camped in northern Wisconsin in the middle of winter and many more stories you can ask him about in person.
