CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA is a non-profit program that recruits, trains and supports adult volunteers that are paired with a neglected/abused child(ren) in the foster care system. A CASA meets with the child(ren) regularly and is a steady presence for the child(ren) and provides information to the court system advocating on behalf of the child(ren). The Western Wisconsin CASA program launched in 2020 and presently serving children in Barron County. There are still dozens of littles in the County that await a CASA. As a non-profit, CASA of Western Wisconsin relies on donations, fundraisers and successfully awarded grants to operate. The fashion show is one of our major fundraisers this year.
